As stated by the Temporary Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) and Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), allows for doctors, nurses, midwives and mental health professionals to deliver services via Telehealth, these provided services are bulk billed. The new items will allow access to essential health services while in their homes during self isolation or quarantine to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19. 

This is a temporary six-month measure. 

This measure benefits; people who are isolated, meet the testing requirements, people aged over 70, Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people aged over 50, people with chronic health conditions or who are immunocompromised and people with new babies or who are pregnant.
